Hi everyone! My name is Laura, but everyone calls me by my middle name - Jeannie, and I’m a mixed‑medium creature artist from rural Nova Scotia, specializing in fibre arts. Crafting has been part of my life since I was a little girl, and over the years it’s grown into a full‑blown passion for all things art‑related. I have a habit of seeing something, wanting to know how it’s made, learning the skill, and then wandering off to the next project  - but fibre arts and watercolours have stayed with me.

I’m an artist who loves bringing whimsical, gentle, and delightfully odd creatures to life. I design and crochet dragons, Krakens, ducks, and other mythical beings that feel like they’ve stepped out of a cozy storybook. My illustrations follow the same energy - nature‑inspired, colourful, and rooted in texture, character, and a touch of magic.

I draw inspiration from the natural world and aim to encourage people to reconnect with the wonder around them, finding fantasy in everyday things. My work is meant to spark joy, invite curiosity, and make people feel like they’ve stumbled into a warm, playful world full of personality.

I currently only sell in person at fairs and conventions, where I love sharing my passion for fantasy and all things geeky.
